Our guests complete a two-step verification process upon booking a unit through Outdoorsy.
If a driver does not automatically pass or is unable to complete either step, there are options for review. Our support team can be reached 24/7 via phone, chat or email and is available to assist with escalating the manual review request.
Our Trust & Safety team, with assistance from our underwriting team, will manually evaluate the booking upon request.
Depending on the value of the vehicle and other factors, our underwriting team may require an increased security deposit. This security deposit acts as usual and would be fully refunded pending no ancillary charges or damage claim.
Unable to Protect
If after manual review we are unable to extend coverage, both the host and guest are made aware. At this time, any purchased protection package will be removed from the booking and refunded. It is at the discretion of the host whether to cancel the booking or work with the renter to obtain outside coverage.
While we do not assist in facilitating the outside coverage, we would recommend that both parties verify coverage amounts and limitations and ensure that the unit will be fully covered during the rental period.
