Modern Comfort Camping was founded by Amy & Erik Fancher on the fundamental thought that there is nothing better than the outdoors and spending time with those that you love. Realized in 2020 and officially kicked off in 2021, we are passionate about bringing our appreciation for nature and time away with those that share the passion, brand new to the experience, and everyone in between. Camping had been a long-running tradition within both of our families as far back as we can remember. We both have fond memories of being outdoors, the smell of a campfire, and enjoying time with our loved ones. After we met, camping quickly became the first trip that was planned each year. We started small, with nothing more than a tent and a lantern, but as our family grew, so did our collection of camping supplies. We slowly acquired more gear to not only accommodate our son and two daughters but to modernize the practice as well. While being committed to the tent experience, our camping footprint grew to more of an outdoor city that required either a truck & trailer or two completely loaded vehicles to move around. Setup was easily half of a day, and tear down had to be started the day before leaving just to prepare for the puzzle that was putting everything back in our vehicles. It started to feel more like moving than camping! It was at this point we decided to upgrade our camp life and invest in a travel trailer. Simplifying our lives meant having everything loaded and ready to go so we could make impromptu trips as well as the well-thought-out ones. Camping went from a once or twice a year enjoyment to ten to twelve times a year! This is the experience we hope to share with our guests. We make life easy by providing the necessities so you just need to bring your clothes, some food, and your loved ones. Our value-added trailers are an Airbnb on wheels!
