About Swiss's RV rentals

Hello, we love Bend Oregon. We are climber's skiers, and we love making food from all the local farms. We built Amarok our dream home, and are opening it up to share with others who want to experience Bend Oregon like a local. We personally love to take Amarok up to the lakes for a SUP paddle, and up to Mt. Bachelor to shred some pow. We hope you enjoy her as much as we do.

We are very pleased with Swiss’s Sprinter Van. This was our first time renting a camper van. We have tent camped for years. Swiss was available to answer questions about the van operation while we were traveling and it made the trip extremely comfortable. The van is set up to be off grid for extended periods (47 gal fresh water tank and solar panels) so camping in remote areas was easy and safe. We took our bikes and found some very memorable rides in remote areas of Oregon. Thanks Swiss!!

Swiss and Nicole are great hosts. They were professional, gracious, thoughtful, and the kind of people you want to hang out and get a beer with. They stocked us up with local coffee, tea, gelato, chocolates, artisan bread, and wine. All of which were amazing and truly enhanced our experience.

We had an amazing time with the van! The little details are what made it - from the huge, filtered water reservoir to the lighting and thoughtfully placed power outlets, the van had it all. I was nervous about driving and operating all the gadgets but Swiss took the time to explain the basics so that we could hit the road confidently. Lastly to our surprise, it was stocked to the brim with the most delicious snacks, treats and wine. Swiss made our trip unforgettable and I’d recommend this van to anyone. (Not to mention the cool tiles/aesthetic - we got so many compliments).

I absolutely can not say enough good things about our trip in this amazing van! Swiss has built his van beautifully with tons of storage, a comfy bed, and a full kit for cooking and eating. Specifically, we were so thankful for 2 things that are fairly unique about this van: (1) there is a ~45 gallon freshwater tank which allowed us to travel to the desert with not a single worry and (2) the van runs off 3 large solar panels on the roof which made for very quiet camping spots since there was no generator running! There is even an ingenious shower head that magnetically attaches to the back doors and provides you with a lovely HOT shower. Also, the refrigerator has a freezer and it was such a treat to eat ice cream in 90+ degree heat! Pick up and drop off were incredibly easy as Swiss and his partner were there to help with anything and answer questions. They are also the nicest folks who make the best cookies ever. We will certainly be back in the future for another trip in Amarok!

Swiss is a great host explaining all of the great features of his Sprinter van. Hot water shower, induction burner stove, refrigerator/freezer, very comfortable queen bed, fresh water and grey water sink made our lakeside camping trip the easiest and most refined ever. Highly recommend for getting away on or off the beaten path.

We had an awesome week in Central Oregon and loved the camper van. The layout was perfect. If I were building a custom van I would copy it. This was our third time renting a camper van and this van was by far the nicest. There was plenty of storage for our overpacked luggage and a couple of inflatable paddle boards we brought. The convertible bed and galley kitchen provided 2 entry/exit points so the van was still accessible when someone was cooking or doing dishes in the full sized sink. The induction stovetop provided ample heat output for searing steaks and quickly boiling water. There was plenty of hot water for doing dishes and showering, and the filtered drinking water tasted great.

Such an amazing trip through Central Oregon in one of the most well thought out and built custom vans I have had the privilege of traveling in. I still can't get over the 47 gallons of fresh water! Swiss went above and beyond, providing us with a very thoughtful care package and was extremely flexible on pick-up and drop-off. Good person and great van. It's only been 3 days, but we're already thinking about our next trip!
