The van and James are awesome. The van is beautiful, James takes excellent care of it. It drives like a dream and gets good gas milage. The blindspot detection system and backup camera are great features. James does a wonderful job of making sure that you know how to properly utilize the functions of the van prior to your departure.

We really enjoyed renting this van. It's the perfect setup!
We did have some minor technical issues arise during our trip (which can always happen when you're on the road), but James was very friendly and helpful in resolving the issues and we were quickly on the road again.

Great van, clean, accommodating. Perfect for two people. Communication with James was great when it happened but could have been better. I would rent the van again.

We were excited to try out the Metris Sportsmobile. We booked well in advance, and in the mean time we got a dog. The listing said that the van was pet friendly, but I sent a message to James anyway, just to make sure it was okay to bring the dog. He said it was fine. My family showed up at his house, the morning of our first day and James's wife informed us that they were not going to rent us the van because she had decided that they wouldn't take dogs. I thought that our long planned vacation was ruined. After meeting our dog she relented, but still, it was unnecessary stress. Before we left, I reviewed all of the damage on the van with James, and photographed each instance. James pointed out each issue to me. We went on our trip and the van performed flawlessly. We were incredibly careful with the van, and didn't even park next to other cars in parking lots. We returned the van and a couple of days later, James informed me that we had damaged the van. I insisted that that could not be the case. I asked to see what had happened. He got an estimate for the damage (almost $2k) and made a claim against me to Outdoorsy before sending me images of the damage. This felt a lot like a scam to me. When he finally sent me pictures, the images he sent precisely matched my photos from the walk around on the day we picked up the van. James claimed to be "puzzled" that he hadn't marked damage on the form and accused me of "not pointing out the damage" during our walk around. He had pointed it out to me! When I sent comparisons of the damage photos he sent me, and the ones from the walk around he said "I see your pictures but don't know when you took them." Basically he accused me of being a liar. I sent the pictures to Outdoorsy and they dismissed his claim. I don't know if this debacle was a scam or incompetence, but it was a major hassle. Outdoorsy quickly resolved the issue, but this owner made me wary of renting a camper in the future, for fear of being scammed by an owner.

Fantastic van, lots of space and features, way more than you'd think looking at it from the outside. Was the perfect setup for a couple of nights of camping. James was super helpful, flexible and thorough.
