Had a great experience renting from Fernando! The car and kit were as described and worked reliably for our road trip. AC was super cold, even in the desert. The pop-up tent functioned very well and was easy to use, and the mattress was comfortable.

Absolute beast of a car! Will have everything you need while providing an authentic experience. Tip: bring some warm clothes or extra layers for the night when you go to places like Bryce Canyon where it can get quite cold over night even in the summer. Also ask Fernando for the cooking gear in case you might need it. Thanks again for hosting, it was a great trip!

First time using an RTT and Fernando made it an awesome experience! Pick-up and drop-off were super easy, and he was flexible with timing, which we really appreciated. The 4Runner may be a bit older, but it drives like new. We had a couple of minor hiccups, but Fernando’s quick communication and helpful tips took care of everything. We only had it for a day but wish we’d kept it longer—definitely planning to book again for future camping trips!

The 4runner was a comfortable, capable vehicle that served us well in Death Valley for four days. We had a late night arrival, 1am, and were able to pick it up then which was nice.
A huge con was there was a super shrill whistling that began over 30mph and was from the rooftop tent and roof rack. It was absolutely unbearable with the windows down and barely tolerable with them rolled up. That was a big bummer since the weather was perfect for windows down cruising Death Valley's 45mph roads, but it was just too noisy. The rooftop tent was in bad shape with flecks of the fabric delaminating and falling off the whole trip. It was quite difficult to open and close the latches and the mattress was wet for ~4 inches around all sides when we picked it up because it had been raining in Vegas the day we arrived. If Fernando gets a new tent and figures out the wind noise, this would have been a better experience.
Still it was good enough and we had fun.

Fantastic trip with this car!! We had a long weekend in Death Valley and the car was perfect for all kinds of roads. The tent was warm and comfortable. The camp box had everything we needed to cook meals on the road. Fernando was super helpful with recommendations and tips. Would recommend!

We had a great time on our trip!! We had a few issues with some of our camping equipment, like the camping stove, tent heater, and the ladder up to the tent, but we let Fernando know! The cooler worked great for our week in the car. We were in 15-20 degrees at night, but we were able to bundle up and stay warm. Not many complaints, it worked great for our trip to national parks!
