We booked for our first family trip with the newborn to see fall foliage in the Smoky Mountains and had an incredible time. We opted for Stephan to pick us up from the airport (extra fee) and walked us through how to use the camper van. The camper van was very clean and easy to use. We loved driving through the Smoky Mountains and then stayed overnight at Cades Cove, Elkmount, and Roamstead campground.

Syd the Solis was an awesome experience! My two young sons and I enjoyed everything about it and made awesome memories in the Smoky mountain national park. So many convenient amenities packed into the van made being out in the wilderness almost like being at home! The kids loved sleeping in the pop top, and the Murphy bed was so comfortable for me! Nothing like a hot water outdoor shower in the mountains while cooking awesome meals. We even rented 2 E-bikes that fit on a rack that Syd was able to carry! We saw so much, did so much, and made so many memories! Also, the van drives and handles extremely well in the curvy and steep roads in that area! I definitely recommend this RV van for you small group vacation!

Our family of 4 loved our time with Syd. We made great memories. The RV was well stocked in fact it offered more than the site listed. Even though, there was rain for part of our trip the RV provided plenty of room for games and laughs. The communication was prompt and helpful and willing to aid in any way. If you are heading to the Smokies I would strongly recommend Syd for your family.

Syd the Solis is in immaculate condition and provided a wonderful temporary home for our camping trip in the Smokies. We met up for an easy hand off at the Walmart in Maryville and chose to bring our vehicle along with us, which worked out fine. Stefan was a lovely host and we were delighted by the thoughtful touches included for the experience - it was treated as an Airbnb-type rental rather than borrowing your Uncle’s van, and for the cost (of any Solis rental, this one was comparable), that felt really nice. There was also a binder with the camper manual, which came in handy when we discovered the swivel mechanism for the seats was changed from our last solis rental.

We very much enjoyed our trip in “Syd the Solis camper van.” It was easy to set up & use & we had a good time. Our host, Stephan, was very thorough at explaining all the intricacies of using the vehicle to help make our trip most enjoyable! Many thanks for a great trip.

Stephan & Tammy were absolutely fantastic hosts! They were responsive and thorough everytime. The van was a total gem; clean, smart, comfortable. We truly couldn't have asked for a better experience for our first RVing adventure!
Stephan couldn't have been more generous in his knowledge and the time he took to make sure we were taken care of from start to finish.
We would recommend Tammy and Stephan and Syd the Solis to anyone!!

Top tier hosts with excellent hospitality. We travel a lot and Stephan and Tammy are the best hosts we’ve stayed with. The Solis is perfect and better than advertised. Perfect layout for our family of four.

First time renting an RV through Outdoorsy and I’d definitely do it again. Stephan was on the ball with communication, answering texts within minutes. Always available for quick questions. This Rv is meticulously cared for, easy to drive and operate. Stephan met us in a safe and public lot where I was able to leave my car, for free, for just under a week. He was so accommodating and walked us through everything. We drove through the smokies, stayed in Rv parks as well as on personal properties. It was easy to maneuver, handled so well and was very comfortable to drive. The AC unit was amazing for muggy southern nights. It had all of the basics for cooking and storage, plus a few extras. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, on the firm side, which I prefer. I wouldnt hesitate to borrow this beauty again!

Stephan and Tammy were amazing hosts and made sure to provide a very straightforward experience for my family's first time renting a Class B. We were not disappointed by the van, the experience, and the hospitality provided. Their Solis (Syd) is immaculate, which made our trip to the Great Smokey's a really enjoyable experience with our young daughter. We decided to park the van and use our car to shuttle to/from hikes, but we easily could have driven the van all week without a lot of concerns. Quick pickup, very friendly, and excellent communication before/during/after our trip. 10/10 would rent again from Tammy & Stephan!

It was my first time renting/driving a camper van. The experience was great from the beginning to the end. Stephan was very friendly, informative and very quick in his responses. On the pickup day, he greeted us with donuts, orange juice and water bottles, which we didn't expect at all. Then he spent time to go over all the features of the van, answered our questions in details. He also let us park our car in his driveway--an added bonus and was a must for us since we live in Orange County and it was hard for us to arrange dropoff/pickup. The van was all setup, fully stocked and ready to go. We drove the van away with positive feelings.
We got the same experience on the return day. Stephan handled everything professionally and super friendly.
As for the van, we took it out to Joshua Tree National Park for camping. The van was really easy to maneuver. The built-in navigation system worked well. The view from the driver's seat is amazing. And the sky bunk... my boys loved it. It stood out at the campground.
I would highly recommend Syd the Solis and the exceptional hosts, Stephan and Tammy.
