Hi! I’m Kelsey, currently living in Ocean Beach, San Diego. My husband and I have always had a big love of adventure and the outdoors. After finally purchasing our first converted van and spending two months on the road traveling up the west coast, I knew this was what makes me the happiest in life. If I couldn’t travel full time in the van and use it to its full potential, I wanted other people with the same passion and love for the outdoors to experience it. After a three-month renovation, I thought why not share the amazing time we had in this van with someone else. My girlfriend and I had an amazing trip to Sedona , the van had everything that we needed and more, it was perfect for the two of us. The owners were great in communicating w us and explaining how to use all of the amenities the van had to offer. I look forward to another trip in the Bog cheese

Kelsey and Brian were amazing hosts. They came through when our previous reservation cancelled the day of pickup. The Big Cheese came amazingly stocked with everything we needed. The instructions were thorough and they were available for any question and issue we had on our trip 24/7 through text and phone calls. Very awesome and kind people. The van was covered with labels and instructions that helped us (as first time camper van users) navigate the van. Will definitely rent again

I don’t even know where to begin - the van, the hosts, loved absolutely everything about our trip!After a previous van booking canceled last minute, Kelsey, Brian, and the Big Cheese saved our honeymoon! They offered delivery to an out-of-the-way airport we were flying into to meet the previous van booking. They were both extremely kind and accommodating throughout booking and the handoff of the van, and offered us great suggestions on destinations for our Pacific Coastal Highway trip! The Montecito hot springs was a particularly fantastic experience we had at their recommendation!The Big Cheese was such a cool and well appointed van with a really slick interior - design and function were perfectly mated in the build. The storage space easily accommodated all our clothes and belongings for the 2-week trip, the bed was large and quite comfortable, tons of kitchenware and cutlery was available, and the onboard toilet was a LIFESAVER both off-grid and in areas where public toilets were unavailable/unusable. The freshwater storage and outdoor shower came in handy in the desert, and the solar system easily met our energy needs even in the unseasonable overcast skies in the coast. The mini-fridge was also quite spacious and very handy, keeping our groceries fresh the whole trip.Additionally the van was super reliable throughout the trip, and easy to drive in tricky spots for someone who doesn’t handle big vehicles often. From the handoff in Irvine, we took it all the way up the coast to San Luis Obispo, up the 101 to Monterey, down into Big Sur, through the mountains on the 101 to Redwoods, all the over to Yosemite, down through the desert into Joshua Tree, and back through the mountains again into San Diego with minimal issue. We had to top up the coolant at one point as expected with mountain driving, but Brian was easy to reach by cell to tell us where the coolant was stored onboard and walk us through the process, making sure to check in with us as the trip went on.Again can’t say enough about our hosts - they were accessible when we needed them and truly gracious during all our interactions. They truly thought of everything, providing all the different odds and ends with the van to make the trip comfortable and safe. They even made special accommodations for the pickup of the van at a convenient location for us at the end of the trip. Just cannot say enough good things about our trip with the Big Cheese!

Kelsey and Brian are very prepared, considerate, and attentive hosts. They did a fantastic job at answering a bunch of pre-booking questions we had, preparing us on how to use the van, and helping us throughout the trip with whatever questions came up. Incredibly professional and also a pleasure to coordinate with. Very highly recommended!

12/10 recommend the Big Cheese! Brian and Kelsey were so great to work with and the van is absolutely perfect. We took it camping in Joshua Tree National Park and it was perfect. It drives great, the bed is comfortable, there’s so much room in the van, and it is SO cute on the inside. We can’t wait to rent again when we come back to SD!

Absolutely amazing van! The detail and thought that went into the build is fantastic, there’s tons of space and the layout is great. Everything was easy to operate as well, had zero issues. The vehicle itself drives really well too and feels comfortable on the road despite it’s size (just remember to take wide turns and go slow). You can take this thing literally anywhere!

WOW! What a cute van with ALL the amenities to make an amazing trip! The Cheese is ready to go with a workable toilet, fridge, sink, and all the little details like dish soap, cooking supplies, cups, towels, and even bug spray, etc!!!! Kelsey was so sweet and responsive to all my questions and concerns. I would 100% recommend and would totally rent in the future. Thanks again!
