Lynn was a super sweet person and I could tell she really wanted us to be happy but I had many problems with this Outdoorsy experience. The van is not in great shape and is quite difficult to use. The bed is next to impossible to pull out. The table legs are next to impossible to close. She didn't want to show me how to use the fridge or the awning because they weren't working or working well, I'm not sure. The pop-top bed can only be used if it's not raining too much, even though we're in Olympia, one of the rainiest, wettest places in the world. So don't rely on being able to use that as a bed. Some of the blinds don't go up and down and there's no privacy shield for the front of the vehicle so we never had full privacy while dressing or sleeping. Also, it's a small thing, but I love listening to music while I drive, and the radio/stereo system advertised with the van is actually just an old tape deck, so I had no way to play music. Thankfully I brought a Bluetooth speaker.Otherwise, the main bed was comfortable. The tarp and rugs she provided were very helpful. The camp chairs I rented worked fine. She also loaned us some cute colorful fairy lanterns to deck out our space. I did not try plugging it into power or water so I have no comment on that.As for the rental experience, I paid for bedding but it smelled awful, like dirty dogs and two of the sleeping bags were covered in dog hair, clearly not laundered. I can't imagine how that would have been for someone with dog allergies as I have severe cat allergies. I also had paid for and agreed to airport pickup and drop-off at the Tacoma Mall but then found out when she picked us up that she needed to go back to her house which added 2 hours onto our route and made us late to get dinner when we were very hungry. Plus I didn't ever hear from her after I finally paid my money and messaged her to confirm two times without a response (by phone, email or text), so I wasn't even sure if she was going to show up at the airport. That was quite nerve-wracking and I was starting to think about what my backup plan was going to be.I think there's a good chance the next person who rents this van may have a better experience after I shared my feedback with her, because she really wanted to make it better and did give me a credit. Lynn is a good hearted person and I think she will likely try to fix these problems before renting again or maybe lower the price to match the quality or be more upfront about these issues next time. For the next renter, I would give her a try but I would ensure these issues have been resolved first.
