Pickup of the RV was super easy and Venessa explained everything. The RV was perfect for our trip around Vancouver Island. Aitor was super helpful whilst we were on the trip in explaining stuff when we had issues. The van was quite prone to overheating but to be expected for a vehicle this age and as it was quite warm for our trip. We struggled to get in touch with the hosts in drop-off but all was well

Venessa and her husband were excellent hosts and the Westfalia was perfect in every way! We thoroughly enjoyed our time and had everything that we needed for a comfortable adventure. Thank you, and next time we’re on the island we’ll definitely be in touch!

We had the most incredible time in this camper, it had everything we needed for our trip and we would 100% use again if we return to the area. Aitor and Venessa were very helpful and attentive and allowed us to have the most magical time exploring Vancouver island on our trip from the UK. Thanks again!

We had 3 days with a 1986 Westy van named Mojito. It was full of character and matched perfectly the experience that I was after. I surprised my husband with the van rental for our anniversary and had retro adventure. The van was compact and we found parking easily. It had everything we needed. Mojito was her name and she had charm of her vintage-- she was not the fastest van on the road but she got us there safely. The insides were clean for the most part with a few tears in the screens but thankfully we had no trouble with bugs on our trip. With the vintage of the van, the fridge was replaced with a cooler which worked well with ice. The hosts Aitor and Vanessa were truly gracious and accommodating of our specific needs around this suprise. They were prompt in communicating and made it possible for my plan to go off without a hitch... And yes my husband was surprised!

My partner and I took Venessa’s westy on a Vancouver island camping adventure and it was great! The van handled gravel roads and windy hills like a champ. It came stocked with all the camping basics including bedding, fuel, propane, and dish/face-washing water. We slept comfortably on the lower bed for 7 nights, and loved hanging out in the “living room” during the day. I cooked several meals in the mini kitchen. It rained hard one night but even with the top up we stayed totally dry. The fridge didn’t work which was a bummer, but I think that’s common for westys of this era and they provided a cooler which ended up working fine.

The van was super cute and the host was lovely and accommodating. Unfortunately the headlights stopped working midway through our trip, leaving us stranded overnight on the side of the road. Outdoorsy roadside assistance was unhelpful and did not send anyone to assist us. The next day the host did exchange vehicles with us and we had an alternate van for the remainder of our trip. Big thanks to our host - big disappointment in the ap itself.

The van worked great for us. I’m 6’2 and was able to fit in the bed quite well, and easily stand. There was space for our son’s bassinet. Fully equipped kitchen and we were able to cook all our meals in the van. It was more fuel efficient than I expected. Fantastic way to tour around Vancouver island!

Trip was absolutely a blast! Dream van, drives like a charm, does not feel like it has got an advanced age. The van is well equipped and confortable.
Very positive experience driving the south of the island.
Venessa and Aitor have been pleasantly responsive, of great advice and recommendation.
I strongly recommend the experience of a road trip with a can from them. Thank you for the opportunity to fulfill a long time dream!
