The host delivered the trailer to the wrong location, even though I had sent him a copy of my Campland reservation to ensure he had the correct information.
When I called to explain that the trailer had not arrived, he insisted that it had been delivered and said he would call me back. After he realized it was at the wrong location, I repeated the correct address to avoid another mistake. He took offense and threatened to cancel my reservation.
Because of my health, I truly needed the trailer. Thankfully, my daughter took over the conversation and worked with Outdoorsy and the host to resolve the situation. The trailer was eventually delivered to the correct location.
Mistakes can happen, but the host’s reaction was unnecessary and unprofessional. Instead of taking responsibility for the delivery error, he became offended when I questioned him and threatened to cancel a reservation I depended on. Based on this experience, I would not rent from him again.
