Über Keira Flanagan - Low Tide Vans

Hi there, My name is Keira and I'm the owner and operator of Low Tide Vans. I've been fortunate enough to spend my whole life on Vancouver Island, enjoying all of the outdoor activities that this beautiful place has to offer since a young age. Surfing, skiing, cycling, hiking and more! I originally built out a campervan for personal use, but quickly decided I wanted to share with others so they too could experience van life on Vancouver Island. As a mechanical engineer and the builder of my vans, I know them inside and out, and take great pride in every detail of the build. My experience with the campervan was wonderful, but the review is for the host. Keira went out of her way to make our trip the best it could be. I really think our experience would have been much different if it weren't for Keira's communication, flexibility, and kindness. Thank you and we can't wait to get back to Vancouver Island.

We had a great experience with the ‘Juan de Fuca’ van and Keira! We rented the Van for 10 nights in September. Keira was very kind and great to communicate with. She was always quick to reply to messages, and kindly provided us with a detailed message on recommendations and tips which was super helpful!
The van had everything we needed and is set up great! All we had to bring along was clothes and food. Bed was super comfy, the cooker and fridge/cooler worked well, there was plenty of room under the bed for storing things, it was a consistently good temperature inside the van and surprisingly easy on gas for a V8. We highly recommend and will definitively rent again in future.

I unfortunately had to cancel my booking with Phil, as there was an electrical issue that started the day before the rental which made the van unsafe to drive. This issue how now been fully resolved. Sorry Phil!

We rented Keira’s Big Black Campervan for 5 nights in Tofino and had a blast! This was our first time traveling with a “home on wheels” and it was such an easy, stress free way to go. The van is really spacious for two people and the bed is super comfortable! We really appreciated all the extra touches like cards, crib board and frisbee, which we forgot to bring. Thanks Keira for sharing your campervan with us. We will definitely rent her again!

Keira and her campervan Wanda were absolutely delightful. Wanda is much more adorable in person - from the fairy lights to the knitted decor and matching throw pillows and accented towels. It was very comfortable and tranquil to sleep in. This van has everything you need, don't worry about packing much else. The tires on Wanda are also very impressive, and allows you to do a bit more rugid camping if needed. This van had more than we had asked for.
Keira as a host was even better. Her communication was great and she offered lots of flexibility for our trip. Each trip itinerary is unique and so this was extremely appreciated and helped us make the most of our adventure. Beyond the itinerary, Keira was very kind, agreeable and patient with us during the check-out process. If she'd have us again we would definitely rent from her again. Thanks for the awesome trip!

The campervan was awesome! We were surprised that even though we camped at a provincial campground, we still had access to lighting, a cold refrigerator and working stove, all because of the amazing solar panels installed on the van. The bed was very comfy, and the van contained all the necessary plus additional supplies too.
Keira was great, and very quick to respond to any communications.
We would definitely rent the campervan again.

The Big Black Campervan was perfect for our trip around Vancouver Island! Kiera was great with communication and even gave some nice suggestions for points of interest and potential camp sites to hit up. The van was as advertised and had everything we needed and it drove nicely too! Would highly recommend to anyone who is planning a trip to the island.

Keira was friendly and easy to communicate with. The van was as described in the ad and had most of everything we needed for our trip. The mattress in the van was very comfortable, which has not been my experience with past campervan rentals.
