This was our first time renting an RV and it could not have been better. The owner’s made the experience great. They had a manual that was easy to refer to when needed. The camper was well appointed and clean. My grandchildren absolutely loved this trip. I highly recommend renting!

Mike and Allison were great! Any questions we had, they were quick to respond and gave great pointers where to drain and refill tanks. They had a three-ring binder with all the instructions for reference. The RV worked great for our family. It came well stocked with things we needed, camping chairs, s'more sticks, coffee maker, games, bear spray, etc. They offered Starlink, which worked out great, do to our lack of cell service on most of our trip. First time for everything. Loved seeing the national parks and spending time as a family and making lasting memories.

We had a fantastic experience renting this RV! This was only our second time taking an RV trip, so we were still relatively new to everything, but our hosts made the entire process seamless from start to finish.
Here are a few highlights from our trip:
Immaculate & Thoughtfully Equipped: The RV was spotlessly clean, well-organized, and incredibly well-stocked. It was obvious that a lot of thought and care went into every single detail to make the space comfortable and convenient for guests.
Exceptional Communication: The hosts were incredibly responsive both leading up to the trip and throughout our journey whenever we had questions.
Beginner-Friendly Setup: Since we are still learning the ropes, we greatly appreciated the printed binder provided in the RV. It contained clear, step-by-step instructions for everything—including dumping the black/grey tanks and a handy pre-departure checklist—which gave us complete confidence on the road.
Outstanding Support & Problem-Solving: During our trip, we ran into an unexpected issue where the refrigerator stopped working. Outdoorsy worked with us immediately to dispatch a technician, and the hosts generously offered to cover the repair. The technician arrived so quickly that it barely impacted our schedule at all, and most importantly, saved all the groceries and cooked meals we had packed!
We couldn't have asked for better hosts or a better rental experience. We would definitely rent from them again and highly recommend them to anyone planning an RV adventure!

What an amazing experience! First time ever renting an RV and we could not have picked a better option. Mike and Allison are AMAZING and the RV is in perfect conditions! The process was very easy. We drove to their house outside Bozeman and picked up the RV there. We were instructed on the use of all equipment and answered all the questions we had. The RV comes with a very user friendly binder that details how to operate all of the equipment and systems. Everything you need is included (2 shower towels, 4 blankets, and plenty of pillows). If you need more towels and bedding I would recommend bringing them. Not sure if they provide more if asked. Our trip through Yellowstone was incredible. We stayed outside the West Entrance for one night and outside the Northwest Entrance for two nights. Returning the RV was very simple and meeting Mike and Allison made it much more personable. TRULY RECOMMEND THIS OPTION!!!

Renting Mike and Allison’s 2023 27’ Freelander RV through Outdoorsy was the best decision we made for our Yellowstone and Grand Teton adventure in September. This RV was exceptional—immaculately clean, superbly maintained, and thoughtfully stocked with everything needed for a fantastic trip, including firewood and a S’mores kit (which we sadly didn’t get to use). The attention to detail made our experience seamless and memorable.
Despite our flight delay pushing our Saturday morning pickup in Bozeman back by three hours, Mike was incredibly accommodating, adjusting his schedule to meet us at noon without hesitation. He took the time to walk us through every aspect of the RV’s operation, ensuring we felt confident. They even provided a detailed guidebook with video links for quick refreshers—a brilliant touch for first-time RV users like us.
We traveled all through Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, and the RV performed flawlessly. We were initially concerned about cold September nights, especially at an RV park without electricity, but the heater was outstanding. Even running on the RV’s batteries, it kept us incredibly warm! Every system worked perfectly, making our journey comfortable and stress-free.
Returning the RV was just as smooth. Allison met us in Bozeman and was an absolute pleasure to work with—friendly, professional, and easygoing. Mike and Allison’s dedication to their renters’ experience is unmatched. This RV was the perfect way to immerse ourselves in the stunning beauty of these national parks, offering flexibility and comfort that elevated our trip to unforgettable heights. We can’t recommend renting from them enough—book with Mike and Allison for a top-notch adventure!

I was charged $250 for “unsanitary and damaged condition,” even though we cleaned the RV thoroughly and communicated clearly with the host. At pickup, the RV was not in great condition — the dishes were a bit oily (we had to wash them ourselves before use), one of the blankets smelled like sweat (clearly not washed from previous trip), and one cabinet window was already broken. Another window fell off during the trip with no fix offered. The paper towel holder broke as well. How did the host deal with this? They gave us sticky tape to patch it up ourselves before the trip.

This review was posted after the guest left a voicemail threatening a bad review unless we refunded the cleaning charge. The follow-up phone call included profanity and verbal abuse directed at us. We declined the refund and reported the harassment to Outdoorsy's Trust and Safety team. The facts: cleaning supplies were stocked in the camper, no window fell off during the trip, no maintenance issue was reported in our in-app messages, and our records show we never approved leaving food in the sink. The camper was returned with human waste in the toilet, food debris clogging the sink, and mud throughout, all documented in our post-trip photos.

Mike and Allison are amazing hosts. As a first time RV renting group we had lots of doubts and they responded very quickly and patiently answered our questions.
The RV has modern interiors and all the amenities required for a camping trip. We went around the Yellowstone and Grand Teton National park area and did not have any problem parking the RV in campsites or in temporary turnout areas.
