Good communication from the host. Camper needs to be retired. Dealt with several mechanical issues. Camper was not cleaned properly and food was left in the non-working refrigerator. After we returned the Camper we were charged $200 in hidden fees.

We want to clarify that these were not hidden fees. Our listing clearly discloses a $150 black-tank service fee, waived if renters dump it themselves. At drop-off, we were told the bathroom would not be used. At pickup, the tank was beyond full and took approximately 45 minutes to empty and clean. The additional $50 was for excessive cleaning due to trash, food, stains, and items left behind. The “food” in the freezer was reusable ice packs. This is a 2017 camper—it isn’t perfect, but it does not need to be retired. We use it frequently with our family without issue. You were not present at drop-off, and no mechanical issues were communicated during the rental. Had you contacted us about the refrigerator, we could have walked you through checking its electric/propane settings. The generator was returned empty, and the awning was left extended during a windstorm, causing damage we did not charge for. We stand by the fees assessed.

The host was very kind, friendly, and easy to communicate with throughout the rental process. Unfortunately, our experience with the camper itself was very different from what we expected based on the listing.

Thanks for your feedback. We were disappointed your experience did not meet expectations. Throughout the rental we remained available to help & ultimately provided a full refund because our goal is a positive guest experience. This is a well-maintained 2017 model. While it isn't brand new, it is cleaned & sanitized before every rental. The linens were freshly washed. I normally make beds, but my husband prepared the camper & joked at pickup that bed making wasn't his specialty & they weren't perfect. Everyone laughed & said it was fine. With any travel trailer, small amounts of dust or debris can shift during travel. Some fridge shelving has permanent staining from normal wear that cannot be removed & is not unsanitary. We also leave extra cleaning supplies if needed. We were unaware the CO detector had reached the end of its service life & replaced once notified. Previously repaired faceplates or minor cosmetic items may also shift during travel but do not affect any safe operation.
