About Joe's RV rentals
Hello, We are a couple originally from England and Virginia who moved to L.A. We love to travel having been backpacking throughout S.E Asia and Europe while also visiting many places across the U.S and Central America. We recently remodeled a Ford E-150 into a camper-van complete with all amenities for a getaway. We would love for you to share in our #vanlife

Joe and Lexy are really lovely people and the pick up and drop off was really smooth and communication throughout the hire period was really good. Thank you so much for that!
Lexy has done an amazing job transforming the van and the facilities included were great ie. fridge, toilet, sink, battery, solar.
The van was overall just old for the price that we paid. For the price you would expect central locking, more mileage and we were constantly worried about bad sounds and the oil was completely emptied even though the van had the all clear before we left.
It was annoying always worrying about where the closest mechanic was.
No information was given about parking it certain cities, so when from Australia and this information is not given, sign posted or relayed in any other way, even hard to research on the internet! This leads to expensive parking fines that are incontestable when they would be easily waived in Australia.

We apologize that you were unsatisfied with your trip. Our posting clearly states our van's age and what is included. We welcome any questions through the outdoorsy messaging app before booking. The van was driven 2,700 miles in 15 days through elevation changes (0 to 8,000 feet) and extreme temperatures (25 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit). Our van is certified by a mechanic before and after each trip and he indicates no mechanical issues. During the trip, the oil did run low, but oil can evaporate at higher rates based on extreme conditions and mileage. After topping up the oil (which we reimbursed fully) no additional issues occurred. Regarding parking, it is not feasible for us to provide information of all parking restrictions because they are specific to each city. Unfortunately, we do have to charge for unpaid tolls and parking fines we receive after the vehicle is returned. We pride ourselves on customer service and as travelers ourselves try to work with renters to make their vacation as enjoyable as possible.

Big Sur was fantastic! We rented her for 2 weeks to travel between LA and San Fran, and had a brilliant time. The van ran smoothly the whole time, was quick and easy to get a handle of, and nifty enough to make parking it anywhere straightforward.

Everything was as described. Very clean and cute. We had a really good trip. Running water made it so much better. Came with everything we needed! Cooking utensils, toilet and a stove. We would do it again. The only thing that would have made it better is if the trip was longer.
