As a young blended family of 5 we planned a camping trip to our families lake lot for a week and a few days. Initially planning on a cabin we were disappointed as they were all booked for the month we were able to schedule time off on both parents schedules. Someone mentioned to use the app Outdoorsy and rent a travel trailer.At one point going thru the unit we pointed out there was old food and items in the trailer. ED argued about the old food nonchalantly while he held the food in his hands. He said it was left there for us. Old expired chips and coffee creamer. I mentioned that the unit was awfully dirty and unorganized and he disagreed with me. This should have been our indication to walk away and ask for our money back. But we had our agenda and engagements planned/set, we needed to get going. Both parents being experienced campers knew we can handle this.We were put under mounds of undue stress over the course of the following week. The first day was spent cleaning / sterilizing the unit and moving the leftover items of previous renters to a confined area as not to mix in with ours. The refrigerator did not work night one, until we took it apart with tools and found the controls were disconnected. It also wouldn’t switch to propane. We discovered half the lights didn’t work throughout the trailer and were loaded full of bugs. Not to mention the fact that none of the locks would work. The second day while setting the trailer up at our site we found the levelling jacks were damaged, two non operational and one of those two almost falling off the unit. That night we turned the pump on to use the bathroom and discovered much to late that there are busted pipes under the sink, soaking all our belongings and what we had brought for toilet paper/paper towel. Having to find alternatives to shower the two little girls in our family for the week now; not that we would have been able to, even if the water worked because after pulling back the shower curtain we do covered the shower head had been snapped off. Our children lost the convenience of the facilities being close to them, meaning we had to rely on outhouses down the way and other peoples units in our extended family. There were limited electrical outlets that worked, causing us to shuffle the items we needed to use constantly throughout the trip. The inconvenience with three children in the small space was ridiculous. By the third day we went to disconnect the propane tank discovering the valve was gone and it wouldn’t stop the constant flow of propane. As well the propane tank harness was bent. On the fourth day we needed to pull the awning out, headache, the arms are bent, the track slides were broken and the support beams were off track. We had to compromise and hope for the best.

We had great experience with the trailer and with Ed! He was very detailed and helpful on how to operate the trailer. It was a bit dirty when we picked it up, but Ed was informed and more than willing to make future renters’experience better. Well-deserved 5 stars!

We were not very happy with the rental. 1st of all Ed was late about 40 minutes so we were running behind. He stated the trailer was clean, it was very obviously not, even though it should have been completely sanitized. And when we came back he said he didn’t even open it after the last people rented it. There were other people’s clothes in the trailer. There was a lot of damage inside as well, the door wouldn’t stay on, the windows were ripped, the bed that was a pullout was supposed to be supported by a price of wood that was falling off so the bed was leaning on one end. Also, the crank to lower the support legs wouldn’t work because the metal was so worn out. It was not a very good experience. Moving forward we would not rent a trailer again. I am posting not to be mean, but just to warn others so they don’t have the same experience we did.

STEER CLEAR OF THIS MANS CAMPERS! I wouldn’t recommend Ed to my worst enemy. The trailer he rented me had a dead battery right off the bat. The propane regulator was duct taped and leaking. The grey and black water tanks were full. The fridge, microwave and stove were all sticky and food covered. There was a crusty white substance on the top bunk mattress. The water pump didn’t work properly. The trailer brakes stopped working half way through the trip. The carbon monoxide detector was defective. The fridge wouldn’t stay on consistently. His ad states clean linens, towels and chairs which were not in the camper. I messaged Ed countless times asking for him to fix the situation and he didn’t offer any solutions. Then when I dropped it off, he made a claim against my security deposit stating that I never emptied the sewage tanks which I absolutely did. AVOID THIS MAN AT ALL COSTS. HE WILL RENT YOU GARBAGE AND THEN TRY TO TAKE MORE MONEY FROM YOU!!!

Unfortunately the tent trailer that we had booked needed repairs a week before our trip and we couldn't use it. Ed offered a trailer instead for the same price. The trailer only slept 4 and we were 5 people, but we brought a tent along and everything went very well.

That night it rained
The roof leaked and we could not stay in it
We returned the trailer in the morning
Ed said we would refund our money
