We rented The Loft camper (sleeps 4) for 4 days with my wife and 2 young kids. We camped in North County San Diego (Carlsbad/Cardiff) and had THE BEST time. The Loft drives like a dream. The set up couldn’t have been better for our family. Me and my daughter slept up in the roof tent, and my son and wife took the bed in the cabin. Both very spacious. Adam and the AltCamp team were also great to work with, and they really have the end-to-end experience down to tee — to a point where we felt very comfortable operating the rig (electronics, water pump etc) — all very easy and intuitive. Will definitely be renting again, and would HIGHLY recommend!

We rented a van from Alt Camp for a weekend getaway and it was such a smooth, fun experience from start to finish. The van was super clean, thoughtfully stocked, and made camping so much easier (and cozier). You can tell they really care about the details - from the design to the customer service. It gave us total freedom to explore without the stress of setting up camp. Can’t wait to book again for our next trip!

Absolutely positively THE best way to camp!! The van is loaded with necessities AND luxuries. My wife said it was the best sleep she’s had in awhile— haha! Easy to drive, easy to set up, and a dream to have at some of California’s most beautiful coastline campsites!

Renting Everest was incredible! altCamp provided such a wonderful vessel for an exceptional trip. Drop off and pick up was so easy, the van is user-friendly, spacious and beyond comfortable to drive and sleep. Great storage capacity and so well stocked on everything you'd need on an epic adventure. We traveled around California with our two little girls, myself and my husband and got tons of compliments on the van- it is so beautiful! We look forward to renting Everest again!

One of the best experiences I’ve had. AltCamp is a high service lever company that knows what it takes to make you happy in all levels! Adam is a great guy and can’t wait to use them again. There vans- well it does not get better then that everything you would need and more. I never spelt so good and was really able to unwind and relax on my trip.

Adam was excellent. The experience with the van and the details in everything we needed was 100% there. I would recommend this company to anybody. I hate writing reviews. It annoys me, but I would love to take the time to write this review. Because Adam and this company were spot on to everything, you are looking for when it comes to dry camping. Or just in general, thank you again for the fantastic trip.

Adam was great, super helpful! Taking the Maverick out on her maiden voyage was quite an amazing experience. Well equipped, perfectly designed and comfortably built for our family of 3. My wife and daughter now want to make this a regular experience which I am super stoked about.

My wife and I reserved “The Rincon” and headed down the coast for several days. We chose this experience, over a hotel, to celebrate our anniversary. Bottom line, It was time well spent, lots of fun, lots of new experiences, and made for very memorable anniversary. All experiences you can’t get when your laying by the pool, again. I knew we knocked it out of the park when we returned it and my wife asked me, “when are we renting it again.”

Convenience and luxury. They literally
thought of everything inside this van - we
only had to pack food and clothes.
altCamp basically eliminates all the bad
parts about camping and makes all the
good parts way better! And the bed 👏👏
never slept so well on a camping trip in
our lives. Can't wait to book again!

Wow, just wow. Quite literally the most fun, unique traveling experience I have EVER had! Alt camp exceeded my expectations in every way possible. The van was pristine, kept my wife and I warm at night, and made for the COOLEST living space for our 5 day trek in the mountains. If you’re looking for a rad experience to get out and explore then look no further. What’s better than a fully functioning house on wheels? It doesn’t get any better than this. From pick up, to drop off, Adam went over any questions we had and made sure that we knew exactly how to use all of the amenities the van had to offer. Smooth and effortless. We will definitely be renting it again for our next adventure!

The Reason:
I've been on the hunt for a way to spend some uninterrupted time outdoors with my son. He's wildly adventurous & has tons of energy so I thought some form of camping would be a fun thing to do together.The Process:
While searching around I came across altCamp & knew it was exactly what I wanted. Mobile, spacious, luxurious, & able. When it came time to book altCamp the experience couldn't have been easier. Adam was incredibly helpful in the entire process especially when it came down to the features of the RV (which has so much to offer). Every little thing was thought of from black out curtains to heated water, tableware, entertainment, safety & security...altCamp feels like the best way to adventure.The Trip:
Traveling with a two year old or children in general can be pretty taxing. Afternoon naps, baths, food, & entertainment are all things I was initially worried about. My son & I ended up having a wonderful & spontaneous time thanks to the ability to go where we wanted whenever we wanted. That said, our trip ended up being spontaneous runs around our campsite, watching movies on the iPad mounted in the RV, In-N-Out runs & a trip to the San Diego Zoo.

Adam, himself, is an incredible host. He is both responsive and cares that your rental experience is the best it can be. His RV is incredible! As rugged as it is comfortable with a luxurious feel inside and a go anywhere structure outside. Very easy to drive and gives you access to those remote, hard-to-reach camp sites. There are plenty of other RVs out there but this one is unique and adds significantly to the trip!
