Wonderland Expeditions was started by two adventurers who wanted to share their passion for exploring our public lands and the wonders of the Pacific Northwest with fellow and future overlanders. Our vehicles are equipped to take you off the beaten path to places most campervans can only dream of and are stocked with everything you need to live comfortably off the grid. With over 20 years of experience exploring all over the American West, we can provide custom itineraries for all kinds of adventures. Second time using Wonderland and it is so convenient and with everything we needed already in the camper. I think we're getting soft and may not be as happy with just tent camping from now on.

I rented “El Burro” from Wonderland Expeditions so that I could come along and support my friends at Ragnar Trail at Mount Rainier. I was coming in from out of town, so I needed to rent something that included all of the camping gear I’d need for several nights. This rig was perfect!! I flew in around 8 in the evening, met to have Doré show me the ropes with respect to the rig, and I was on my way. By the time I drove out to my camp spot for the night I was exhausted from a long day of travel. I literally just popped the tent up, climbed in, and went to bed. It was SO EASY and my tired self was so grateful for that. Packing up was just as easy, and I headed up to meet my friends. Everyone commented on how organized I was with all of my gear, but I had to fess up that it was all part of the rental. All of the cooking/camping gear was well packed, well organized, and super convenient. The only regret that I have is that I didn’t rent for an additional couple of days so that I could explore the area around Rainier a little more. It is such a beautiful place, and being in this rig was the perfect way to explore!

The Scout teardrop trailer was perfect for our needs. The trailer handled perfectly. Would definitely come back to Wonderland Expeditions for our next trip.

We had an amazing time on our 8-day Oregon road trip! The staff was friendly and easy to communicate with, and accommodating of our request to return the vehicle a bit later than originally planned. The camper and gear were clean and we had everything we needed. The one and only complaint from me is that, as someone who loves to cook (and we prepared the majority of our meals on the trip), the knives were dull, so perhaps include a sharpener in the kitchen kit. And also maybe a larger mixing bowl. :-)

We rented the off road teardrop (the Scout) for the Northwest Overland Rally in Plain, WA. We thought it would be the perfect size to tow with our Jeep. The whole process was wonderful and we had the best experience. Leading up the the rally, our reservation was easy to make and the owners were a quick email away with questions regarding equipment, wiring needs, etc. Their prompt replies to our questions were very much appreciated. They were actually going to the same event we were, so they offered to tow the trailer there and back for us, as they knew we were towing with a 2 dr Jeep and concerned about drive time and the high winds predicted. We met them outside the rally where we received an orientation and signed paperwork. We towed the trailer in to the rally (which Cory said he couldn’t even notice the trailer behind the Jeep) and set up. The trailer was amazing! It also came with EVERYTHING we needed, except food and clothes. They included all kitchen equipment, blankets, table, chairs, etc. We also were thrilled for the snacks, coffee, kombucha and beer they had stocked for us! We had people constantly stopping at our site asking about the trailer. We highly recommend renting a teardrop from them! We will definitely rent again. Thank you Ryan and Dore so much!!

Ryan made things easy. I had many questions leading up to our trip and I received responses almost immediately in each case. The RV was well equipped and performed flawlessly. We would definitely recommend Wonderland Expeditions for any future RV rental need.

Ryan & Dorey were great to deal with! They really went the extra mile by picking us up at the airport & meeting us for drop off at our Air bnb.
The vehicle itself (2013 4Runner) lacked some power in the mountains when going up large climbs. The tent unit was great except the area where the ladder hooks in does not allow th zipper to seal completely. This was not a large issue for us as the weather was good, however could be problematic in inclement weather.
Easy set up & take down. However removing all gear from the roof unit could become an issue in wet weather.

From my very first interaction with Wonderland Expeditions, the experience has been incredible. I can honestly say this vacation has been the most exciting and wonderful trip of my lifetime! The professional and informative website really helped to build confidence in the decision to rent from W.E. versus all the other rental options in the Portland area. The owner, Ryan responded personally and promptly to my questions and emails. He was professional, courteous, and a joy to work with. I was able to get price quotes for multiple dates and change my billing options without any hassle. Ryan not only answered my questions, but he also made recommendations on the best places to visit, eat, and play. This really showed his commitment to our experience and his desire to help us have the best trip possible. It shows that he truly cares about his customers! He took his time to clearly explain how to use all the equipment, where the supplies were stored, and what to do for various scenarios on the road. The camper & truck were beyond perfect and was practically brand new! I could not have asked for a better set up for our trek across central Oregon. The truck handled beautifully and was super easy to drive and park (way better than a bulky RV). We effortlessly popped up the camper at 3 different camp sites in 3 different state parks. Because the camper is so easy to and quick to set up (literally less than 5 minutes), we were able to drive around as needed during the day rather than being bound to the campsite like the other larger trucks & RVs. They really thought of everything when outfitting this rig! We had everything we needed, from dishes to blankets, chairs, forehead flashlights (which I used each night) and even a deck of cards! If you are looking for an easy camping experience, Wonderland Expeditions is the best option for you! The camper kept us safe and warm. We felt so spoiled with this camper and all the amenities. The stove worked perfectly and we had running water to wash our dishes. It even has warm water, an outdoor shower and a furnace, so it definitely qualifies as "glamping". I cannot say enough good things about this company!! I highly recommend them to my friends, family and anyone else!

The truck was amazing! We went down to the desert, drove on the playa, and not once worried about being able to get around. We drove right up to the trailhead with ease. The camper was easy to setup and break down. The truck had everything you could have wanted! Definitely looking forward to another trip soon! Thanks!
