2023 Airstream Basecamp

What a scam! A pickup is like checking into a hotel. If pickup is 3:00pm how far can anybody get before they would be expected to check-in at an RV Park? The same for return, 11:00am? How would anybody get back and have the trailer washed, detailed, etc. by 11:00am? Hardly anything was explained how to operate anything in the trailer. The stove and furnace didn’t work, when I asked Deborah asked if I had disassembled the front housing and turned on the propane. If I am renting the trailer to go camping I shouldn’t have to troubleshoot why I don’t have hot water or why the stove isn't working! None of the outlets worked, only after I found the fuse box and checked the fuses did I discover that one fuse was not pushed all the way in. I also did not opt in on all Deborah’s extras, but she didn’t take them out of the extremely small trailer to make some room for the sheets, towels etc. that I brought to use. Same for all the kitchenware. I asked what size ball I needed for my hitch and she never replied, so she had to lend me one. I did accomplish what I had wanted to accomplish and that was see if I wanted to buy the exact same trailer I rented and I can say I don’t. Too small and won’t work for me with as much range as I lose pulling it with my Tesla. Deborah ended up keeping my damage deposit because I didn’t return the trailer after it had been washed and detailed. She also accused me of losing a wheel chock and because the bathroom smelled so bad she lost a booking. The bathroom smelled when I picked it up. I also apparently scratched her trailer’s floor, ( I was camping, maybe a rock got stuck in the treads of my sandal?). Sounds more like something she should talk to Airstream about, more durable flooring, or wasn’t I supposed to wear shoes when I was in the trailer? I had hoped for a much better expierience!.

Deborah was very accommodating. She was thorough, explaining how her airstream operated making my trip, easy and pleasurable. I opted for the full bed makeup option. Her RV was very clean, modern and sleek. The solar panel ran the inside lights when not connected to power. The inside blackout curtains kept the RV cooler. The rear hatch door made loading and unloading a breeze as I was able to store items under the bed from the rear hatch door. The trailer tongue power jack made loading and unloading less chore-like. Her RV came equipped with some kitchen items and spices in a cleverly designed spice rack. If you’re looking for a small RV to take on your next adventure, I would highly recommend Deborah’s 16’ Airstream. -Kevin

What a FABULOUS experience renting this little RV! I can't say enough about the cleanliness of this BaseCamp! We have had several not so good experiences, but not with Deborah! Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, and did I mention it was CLEAN??? Linens on the bed were fresh and smelled heavenly! We took it out to Lockhart State Park on the hottest weekend of the year and we stayed nice and cool. A/C never missed a beat! It is small, but very cozy and it pulled great with our 4-runner. Just perfect for our purpose! Highly recommend! Deborah responded quickly to all my questions, even sent us a video when we couldn't figure out how to get the electrical plugs to work! (User error!). She was wonderful to work with! Thank you Deborah for allowing us to spend some time with your "baby". :-)

Deborah was great to work with. The Basecamp is in great condition, clean, and well equipped for the renter. We definitely recommend!
