We are a small van rental company located just north of Seattle in Bellingham, Washington. Our location is close to the North Cascades Highway, a short drive to the San Juan Island or Port Townsend Ferries and the Tsawwassen Ferry to Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast. We would be happy to help you with your transportation arrangements to our location. Call us at Honu is a completely refurbished Volkswagen Westfalia camper. With an Automatic Transmission and Subaru engine, van features include new interior and cushions, propane forced air furnace, high efficiency electric refrigerator . A large auxiliary battery and permanently mounted solar panels allow off grid camping. Safety features include four 3 point seat belts, new larger wheels and tires, improved suspension and bumpers and heavy duty disc brakes. This van comes road trip ready with folding chairs, a small portable table and cooking supplies. While the van sleeps four, two or three adults or two adults and children will be the most comfortable combination. Every van will have the fabric and curtains steam cleaned, all counters wiped with sanitizing cloth and will have had an Ozone/UV treatment before your rental. The van you pick up will be spotless with all dishes cleaned in a dishwasher. We can provide freshly laundered sleeping bags and pillows upon request.
For an additional fee you may rent a roof box or one of our bike racks. We have a 2 Bike Yakima rack and a 4 Bike North Shore rack. You may not add your own racks or box to our van. This van may not be used for bike shuttles. If there is any evidence of that activity the damage deposit will be forfeited.This is a dog friendly van and we require a $100 cleaning charge. Dogs less than 20 pounds must come with a closable carrier. Small dogs run on the table and counter when left in the van and damage the screens.

Having spent many years camping, backpacking, climbing and skiing all around the world, we have finally found our ideal mode of travel and we want to share it with others.
Our typical trip involves travel over the North Cascades Highway, out in the San Juan Islands or up in British Columbia for some camping in out of the way locations. We often look for forest service or back country campgrounds. We are usually completely alone and we are able to find a campground near a stream or lake so that we can enjoy some fly fishing while we are there. The Westfalia van complete with full kitchen and forced air propane furnace allows us to enjoy or vans throughout the year no matter what the weather.
