He provided no pin to keep the trailer on the ball, the emergency break line was not able to be connected, and the driver side lights did not work. Fresh water tank was not usable.

3.0Overall, it is a nice trailer. It was comfortable and spacious. This was only my second time renting a trailer so for a veteran camper, some of the items I'm noting below could have been easily rectified if I had the experience. But not having the experience, I relied on the owner to have the knowledge and experience to make sure everything is safe, functioning and correct. Safety and cleanliness should be of greater concern for the owner. He provided no pin to keep the trailer on the ball, the emergency break line was not able to be connected to the hitch and the driver side lights did not work. Light bulbs blow but the other two items are a major safety concern. When I got to my destination and realized there was no pin, I mentioned it to the owner, who replied had "I haven't heard that before". We were the first rental of the season which was apparent because it wasn't cleaned. There was mold/mildew throughout the galley and the coffee maker still had an old K-cup in it, indicating the coffee maker wasn't cleaned since last year some time. Fresh water tank was not usable because the drain was still open from winterization. This should have been checked before we left. Lastly - The unit advertises a generator, however, it is a 5500 Watt geni, not a small portable generator like most. The owner accepted no responsibility for any of these items stating, "Functionally, there was nothing wrong with camper". I can understand missing a dirty spot or two, but the lack of concerns for safety where the hitch and breaks are concerned, is unacceptable.
