(You'll forgive the pronouns, Rufus is practically a member of the family!)The look: Rufus has been completely transformed from your standard 90s chinz RV to a boutique bohemian gypsy wagon, including custom cabinetry, new light fixtures, flooring, upholstery, and paint. Rufus offers you a cozy, indulgent experience wherever you take him, be it the mountains, desert, ocean, or your mother-in-law's front yard. He's seen it all. We ourselves spent a year calling him home and traveling the states with our four kids!The specs: Rufus has a queen bed in the bedroom, a queen loft bed, and the dinette easily pops down to create a twin+ size bed. All together, he comfortably sleeps 5-6 humans. It's all compact, but he's got the amenities! A spacious feeling living room with dinette (which has seatbelts for 4), plenty of storage, and butterfly chairs that can be folded up and removed to create an indoor dance floor, or an outdoor sunset watching station. A kitchen complete with fridge and freezer, 2 basin kitchen sink, and 3 burner gas stove. A lav complete with toilet, sink, and shower. A master bedroom with a plush memory foam mattress, surrounding views, and ample storage. Rufus has an 8 gallon hot water heater, a generator, cold AC, toasty furnace, and fresh/gray/black water tank capacity for a comfortable 5-7 day off-grid experience.The ride & mechanics: Rufus is a Tioga by Fleetwood set on a Ford E450 chassis. Under the hood is a Ford Triton V10 engine that runs like a champ. He's received regular basic maintenance, and has had no major issues during our time with him. Tires are nearly new and in great shape. Rufus takes regular rides around town to keep the fluids flowing and the tires from cooking. Operation and handling are smooth and consistent. Rufus has effortlessly towed our small car from state-to-state over mountain and plain. The Onan-Cummins generator underwent a complete overhaul in October 2017 and purrs like a kitten! Electrical power can be had by running the generator or alternately plugging in to shore power.Depending on your needs and destination, we have a dehumidifier, a space heater, 10 person instant-setup tent, and a vehicle tow dolly for rent.
