We were traveling with two little ones and have had experience with a RV before. The ultralight was exactly what we needed for our Lexus SUV. However there's several things I would be aware of renting from Mike: - It may not be clean - I asked in advance bc my son has asthma and it was clear it had not been cleaned. Not talking about dust, but actual grime. Like scaling in the sink and grime in the fridge. I spent the first hour wiping everything down with baby wipes. So just be aware, if you like things clean maybe this a guy's version of clean? Idk that's my benefit of the doubt - Do not trust the listing or messages for what is provided or not. And those comms contradict each other. One says no dishes, another place says dishes. The big one was bedding. The message said to bring pillows but bedding would be provided and it wasn't. Good thing by that point I was prepared to not trust the listing and had brought sheets and blankets just in case. Coffee machine - listing says not, but ironically there was one under the sink. - Tools - bring tools you think you might need. One of the chains connecting the trailer to the car was tied to make it shorter and we needed it the same length as the other, so needed our knife. There was no pin to lock the trailer hitch in place; we had to drive the way up without it. A leveler would have been nice. - Bring an adjustable hitch or make sure Mike provides his. Our car hitch was too low so luckily Mike had left an adjustable one. That was very helpful otherwise the whole trip would have been cancelled. - If you've never done this before, make sure Mike will be there to walk you through everything. Mike did not plan to be there for our pick up and did not offer to be there. We were very glad we have experience but it still would have been nice. All in all, we made it work and once we got to the RV park, the folks there were very kind and helpful for anything we couldn't figure out (for ex we forgot about stabilizers and bringing a level).
