Scout is our 1987 VW "Westie" Weekender Westfalia, Wolfsburg Edition. She's great for road trips and camping adventures alike, featuring a pop-top upper bed (comfortable sleeping quarters for two adults), a three-person seating area turned fold-out bed (comfortable sleeping quarters for two adults) and two rear-facing seats behind the front seats. We love the table that fold ups from the sidewall which we fold down when not in use for more room.The interiors are in impeccable shape - our friends bought her new in 1987 and we inherited a very well maintained beauty. The interiors are original, including blue carpet and light gray upholstery and a recently repainted golden exterior. Her engine was fully rebuilt less than 5000 miles ago and she runs like a champ. She is a manual so if you're not comfortable driving a standard stick shift car, this won't be your best option.Note: the only built-in kitchen item is a plug-in refrigerator (think ice-box) as we love to use our Westie for the travel, but we prefer to cook and clean at our campsite. We have all the camping essentials - just let us know what you need, and if we don't have it listed we will do our best to secure it for you!
