1.0I am writing to you to seek your help. The vendor rented me a defective unit with many serious issues . 1st day there we lost power to all outlets to the pop up trailer which randomly came on again later that evening . Despite the fact that we use the level and had a flat sight the door would not close properly and would open in the middle of the night allowing mosquitoes in droves. I literally woke up every morning with water dripping on me through the top of the bed. Then after getting it home I attempted to crank it up to retrieve my food from the fridge over a $100 the rest of my items from the camper before returning it. It raised up about 2' and then the handle started free spinning. I then tried to lower it after contacting them so I could return it and the cable jump the wheel and then started free spinning. I contacted the vendor and they told me to drive it back to them slowly thank God it didn't happen in Grand Prairie. The vendor is stating that I did something called back winding it apparently there's a wrong way to crank a tent trailer up and down pretty sure there's only two directions but he's blaming me for the damage and wants to charge my credit card. They first claimed that the insurance that would cover the damage we cover it while it's not attached to my car and then claim that it was four while I was towing it that the additional insurance was for after the issue arised. If that wasn't enough, I asked him to leave the fridge on because I was unable to retrieve any of my stuff. A day later he claims that the fridge was open which is impossible because the counter sits tight up against it when folded down and there would be no use in turning the cooling back on as it would not cool with the door open a flat out lie because they had turned it off because they were upset that it broke?
