3.0This rating is not intended to discourage or dissuade anyone about this rental, nor to disparage the RV or the hosts in any way. It was the best vehicle we could find, out of dozens considered, for our extraordinary trip (4 adults, 4 weeks, 8000 miles roundtrip to Alaska, part of a family reunion trip of 13 total). For any "ordinary" trip it should be an excellent choice. The problem was me, and our expectations. I designed and built our first motorhome; it suited us perfectly at the time. We are now on our fifth RV, still ideal for us but not for this special trip (thus the rental). Over the last 60 years we have over a half-million miles of motorhoming experience. We have our own "rules" and way of doing things, perfectly suited for our travels, including our previous 5 trips to Alaska. The few minor "hiccups" with the vehicle didn't slow us down but did run afoul of Outdoorsy's rigid but reasonable rules for those simple repairs. Again, simply the clash of expectations, since we've never rented before. I encourage anyone considering RVing to please do so, and renting is a great way to get started.

5.0Very easy to work with. Wish we had a bit more time for orientation, especially on the electronics. We may have glossed over some of the information in the manual. We will do better next trip.

5.0Great Experience! Would definitely rent through Outdoorsy again. Hosts were very friendly and made sure we knew how to operate the R/V before we left their driveway. We had little to no issues during our 8-day rental. Picking up the R/V and returning it was also very easy. Had some issues finding a place to get the Propane refilled, as the place they suggested couldn't do it because the place of business had a broken gasket, and the place down the street doesn't have someone on staff on weekends to fill rv tanks. Overall we had a great 7 day trip, with 1500+ miles driven, starting in Lake Elmo, then making our way to Oakdale KOA in Oakdale, Wisconsin, then off to Monroe, Michigan to stay at William Sterling State Park, on the shores of Lake Erie, then off to Toledo East/Stony Ridge KOA in Perrysburg, Ohio, to Love's RV stop in Demotte, Indiana and our last night was spent at Little Bear Campground in West Liberty, Iowa. Looking forward to our next trip.
