Welcome to Maui! Let’s start there and everything else will be icing on the cake. You’ve seen camper vans and you’ve heard about the experience but until you’ve seen the island in all its beauty from Akamai, you haven’t seen the best yet. Akamai is built off of a 2011 Ford Extended Van base. Our team has built on camper shell top and one of kind sky bedroom with 360 degree views of your surroundings. Fresh Hawaiian air breaths into this Van. Windows open all around and the huge sky window tilts up to allow nothing to come between you and nature the way it was intended. Akamai has many features in the newest technology such as Dometic Fridge/Freezer, 100watt solar panel and battery control center for charging all your goodies but he also understands that we may need to disconnect from it all to really appreciate life. Also included is a rear outdoor shower to bath in the beautiful sunshine. When you have to go, you have to go and so we’ve added a composting toilet in the back with a privacy screen of real drift wood. Lounge in the seating area and raise the bed up on both sides to let the sunshine in throughout the interior. Beautiful bowl sink to keep you feeling clean and fresh with water pumped in from below. 9 gallons of water included and easily refilled all over the island. Surfboard racks on both sides can be attached as requested and a small propane grill can be used to cook outside or hooked to the side door. I fold out bench on the side makes it easy to find a place to rest and just take in the scenery. We’ve tried to make sure the bases are covered so the only thing you need to do is enjoy your time here and experience the Aloha of the Islands.
