Van Tour: https://youtu.be/yfmFmlqVbvI
Handoff Tutorial: https://youtu.be/qcxqNj69wPw
This camper comes fully loaded with everything you need for a luxurious glamping trip across the US! Haul your bikes, golf clubs, camping and hiking equipment- you name it! Converted by VanDOit (DO Model) out of Blue Springs.Highlighted Features:
32" smart TV, coffee maker, 72-can capacity fridge, memory foam mattresses
(see the 'What's Included' section for a complete list)
Interior Space:
Our favorite thing about this van is the space! The high roof has an interior clearance of 6'1" and the extra long model (22ft) provides plenty of space for 3 people, including up to 2 full-size beds, 3 Ford factory seats, and a kitchen pod with fridge!
Interior Layout Options:
Because the van is modular- anything can be removed for more space. Upon booking, let us know how many seats you want and what bed layout you’d like- 1 full size (our most popular, most space), 2 full size bunk beds, or 1 full up top/1 twin on bottom for extra space below.
Questions about how we can accommodate your crew and their gear? Message us anytime.
Heating & Cooling Comfort:
1. Dometic rooftop AC*
2. MaxxAir Deluxe air vent (rooftop; all-weather, acts as a vent to avoid condensation in the van overnight)
3. Espar heater (pulls from van's gas tank, only uses about 1 gal/night)
*Appliances are powered by a lithium battery, that gets charged by plugging the exterior outlet into any standard outdoor 20amp outlet. The battery also trickle-charges by rooftop solar panels and from extra energy created when you drive the van- great for those boondocking off-grid. The rooftop AC can last 10-12 hours on a single charge when in the shade/evenings at 64 degrees. However, when parked mid-day in the sun, temp in the 90s, on pavement, running full blast (worst conditions) we reliably get 4+ hours but with 12-13 degree variability from set point. This is important to know for dog owners--- shade and you're golden. We provide a Waggle temp/humidity monitor with it's own cell data plan so you remotely monitor interior temps and keep your pups safe when you need to leave them for a human-only meal or hike.Boondocking/OFF-Grid Camping
As stated, the AC can run 10-12hrs on full blast off a full lithium battery alone. For hot summer months, we recommend staying at campgrounds with electric hook ups just in case. The heater is powered by the van’s gas tank (vehicle off) , using about 1 gallon/night, so having enough battery power for off-grid camping is very reliable in cooler months/climates. We do have a small generator we can send with you at no extra charge if needed- just message us.
Campsites With Electric Hookups
You'll have continuous power for heating/cooling/cooking by plugging in. The van has a 20amp plug outside that charges the lithium battery inside (extension cord included). For campsites that only have 30amp or 50amp outlets, we provide adaptors.
Wifi
Complimentary WiFi with a hotspot from Visible+ (please note: if you are in a rural area or in a National Park, it may not work. See Visible's website for a map of coverage)
Ford Transit Features
Backup camera, lane assist, regular cruise control, back up cameras, android/apple carplay, rounded blind-spot mirrors. Easy TO Drive. Seriously.

EmpfehlungenNew to camping? Look at KOAs- they're reliably clean, in safe and convenient locations, and offer RV sites w/electric hook ups, as well as cabins. They typically have a large public bathhouse (we choose our campsite next to or close to the bathroom). Cost $40-$100/night. KOA’s are classified into different “levels” with KOA Journeys being the most affordable and KOA Resorts having the most amenities (hot tubs, pools, gyms, etc). Another way to find swankier local campgrounds with resort-style amenities is to search “Camp Resorts in [City/Town]”.For free/cheap/private camping, look at BLM land for dispersed campsites. There are very cool campsites with awesome views in places like Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico. Our favorite so far is Bisti Badlands in Bloomfield, NM- Google “alien eggs at Bisti Badlands” and you’ll see why.National Park campsites fill up very fast so book those early. FYI- State Park and National Park showerhouses are fairly rugged, typically. For road trip itineraries, visit the Find Your Blue website. We have a growing list of dog-friendly guides with our favorite road trip stops, or follow us on IG @findyourblue_kcWeitere wichtige DingeIf you choose the pick up option, please bring a second person with you. We do not offer secured parking of your personal vehicle.

Provided detailed support and information

Hosts Tina and Josh are responsive, helpful, and accommodating. They provide detailed orientations, tutorials (including YouTube), and guides for the van's features, and support during the trip.

Easy and stable driving experience

The van is easy to drive, offers a good, stable ride with minimal wind sway, even for a dually. It was comfortable for long trips.

We rented the RV for a road trip over the weekend. The van was clean, comfortable, laid out well and had many included items of the owners that were helpful for us to be able to use (electric skillet, hanging shoe rack for example) Our host Josh, was personable and knowledgeable and gave us a good overview of how to work the features. He also has a YouTube video which was really helpful when we needed to review it when we arrived at the campsite later that night. He reassured us that if we had any mechanical problems, the roadside assistance was included. It was a great experience, We would rent from Josh again and We would recommend Outdoorsy as a business.

This was the perfect van for a middle aged man and his dog to drive 4000 miles from KC to San Diego and back, hitting 5 national parks along the way. This van has the PERFECT off grid lighting and heating system I could imagine. Great temp control and WAGGLE app to be able to leave the dog in the climate controlled van while I biked. Very comfortable bed, very good ride. This van is set up with FUNCTIONALITY in mind, especially off grid. I ranged temps from 28-78. I never had to plug in once. Was even able to charge my e-bike off the lithium battery in Grand Canyon. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS VAN FOR 1-2 people and a dog with plenty of space to spare.

Häufig gestellte Fragen

F.

How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?

A.

There is no sewage and no water hook up. The kitchen sink pod is supplied by a 5 gallon removable water tank that is pumped to the faucet via a hot/cold water pump. It is then drained by gravity into a 6 gallon grey water tank. When the dirty tank is full, you empty it. When the clean water is empty, you fill it. We do not supply a toilet with our van. You'll have to take care of business elsewhere. For electric, see the FAQ re: How do I charge the Lithium Battery for appliances in the van?

F.

Can I use a blow dryer or other high wattage item in the van?

A.

Yes, however, the inverter can only handle 2000 W at a time. Your standard blow dryer is about 1800 W. Anything that heats or cools usually has a higher energy need. We provide a low wattage blow dryer in the van. Every appliance in the van is under 2000 W. However, you'll likely only want to run 1-2 items at a time. ex: Keurig Mini is 1425W- you won't be able to blow dry your hair (1000W) and simultaneously make coffee. Make sense? Elec Kettle- 700 W Elec Skillet- 1200 W

F.

How do I charge the Lithium Battery for appliances in the van?

A.

Easy. There is a 15 amp plug in (think of your standard house 3 prong) outside the van. We provide the extension cord for this. Many campgrounds have this plug in type as an option. You can also charge at a friend's house, at a baseball field light pole, anywhere you can find a standard 15 amp 3 prong plug in, really. For campgrounds with only 30 or 50 amp plugs, we supply an adapter for you to use. DON'T FORGET TO UNPLUG BEFORE DRIVING AWAY. Yes, we've done this. Would not recommend.

F.

Can I leave my dogs inside the vehicle unattended?

A.

For short periods of time, under remote supervision via the Waggle app (a temperature and humidity sensor) we personally have left our dogs parked in the shade, roof vent running and max AC on, unattended in our van during mild climates. You too will have access to the Waggle device and app to use with your judgement. We are not responsible for your dog's well-being in or out of our van. It is up to you to judge the situation and advocate for your dog's health.
