Thelma is a Jayco pop-up camper and is the smallest one they ever made. However, she sleeps 5 people, 6 in a pinch. The tent top is brand new which is essential for bug abatement. There is a nice roof rack on top so you can put your firewood up there or bikes for the kids, etc. the suspension has been lifted for more ground clearance and the tires are bigger and burlier. Big toolbox up front holds everything you need. And I did an interior makeover on her so she is no longer stuck in the 80's. It's more like a tropical paradise! The Deep Marine battery inside has a solar panel that you can charge during the day and it will light the night in case there are no hookups. And of course, I have lots of lanterns and LED lights as well as solar flashlights. Cute party lights inside for ambient lighting. Pink Flamingos? check. Green grass entryway? check. Of course, there is a table inside and the seating can accommodate 4 people and the table can be removed and hooked up on the side of Thelma and serve as a place to put your condiments, griddle for pancakes (power is right there below) and it's just a very well designed camper. There is a nightlight on the outside by the door as well. Here's the good stuff: I have a separate privacy tent for changing clothes and also using my eco-potty to avoid the walk down "Bear Alley" in the middle of the night. This tent also comes equipped with a propane heated shower system that hooks up to the propane tank on the camper. And hello! I have a 12x12 mesh tent that I use for nights when you want to sit outside and play cards or Scrabble without the bugs driving you crazy. I also put it over the picnic bench at dinner time. I cook outdoors and have a killer Cabelas camp kitchen and then I have a small microwave inside for heating up tea water or soup without the hoopla of starting the outdoor stove. I also have a grill that goes over the campsite grill - God only knows what has crawled over that campsite grill but my grill sits on top and is clean and safe for grilling. I also have a small heater for cold nights and a nice AC unit for warm weather. Cozy flannel sheets, down comforters, and nice pillows for both beds (2 double beds - perfect for 2 people each). I also have a safe where you can put your car keys and wallets while you are out hiking. And I have a nice foldable kennel for dogs so they can be outside but not in the dirt and it is mesh all around so they have plenty of air. Thelma rules and although my husband is still mad that I bought this, you can clearly see the value that she holds. My motto: "It's all about the smart purchase". You will love her just like I do.
