This was such an amazing first experience. The only thing that was missing was a dust pan/boom/swiffer. That can be easily solved with a quick walmart trip but we didnt realize until after we shopped!! All in all 10/10 experience for me and my family

The unit we reserved needed to be serviced, so Big Lick provided a newer unit they had just acquired. It had some major issues which caused us some inconvenience. The toilet leaked fresh water in the bathroom and into the bedroom on the first night. Then, fresh water tank crashed to the ground below the unit while we were in it. The tank failure happened over several hours during which there were loud bangs and things jumped off the counters. This happened over the course of the second night and early morning of the third day. (The owners came by during that night to make sure the unit was stable and safe.) They were not able to provide us with a replacement unit, but after a number of hours, they got water available in the unit and fixed the leaking toilet. The rest of the stay was fine except for the sewer like smells from the toilet. On the positive side, the customer service was good. This was our first experience renting and staying in an RV. AND despite everything that happened, we would not rule out renting an RV from the Big Lick folks again. The equipment was faulty, but new to them, and they were quick to respond every time something failed. Unfortunately, it was not the 5 star experience we had hoped for.
