Preparing Trailer for a safe travel • Make sure you have a 7 pin connector, 2" ball hitch and a brake controller. • Maximum speed in the state of California while towing is 55 MPH .Owen’s valley experiences strong gusts, please drive safe and educate yourself about trail sway and towing safety. • No passengers inside the trailer while moving. It is illegal and unsafe. Hooking up to the tow vehicle: • Retract the rear stabilizers before hooking up to the tow vehicle. Make sure the Hitch jaw is closed and latched. • Ensure that safety chains are crisscrossed and hooked to the tow vehicle. • Clip the emergency brake cable to the tow vehicle. Battery must be connected for the emergency brake to work. • Securely stow away all loose items. They can move around violently if not secured and break. • Please make sure the slide and the awning are retracted all the way. • Close all doors, cabinets and stow away the entry stairs and grab handle. • Please make sure the kitchen vent and all windows are closed. Turn off all lights, air conditioner, furnace, water pump, water heater and the bathroom vent. • Please ensure that all utility connections are removed and properly stowed away along with the wheel chocks and wooden blocks. • Make sure all brake lights, turn signals are working and the trailer braking system is properly calibrated to suit your comfort.
