Responsive & knowledgeable Alaska guide
Kevin excels with quick responses, offering detailed local recommendations for exploring and camping. He goes above and beyond with flexibility (early check-in, mid-trip help) and thoughtful provisions like bear spray, Milepost, and coffee.
Easy to drive, reliable, capable
Hugo is a 4x4 Sprinter praised for being easy to drive and park (like a pickup), reliable on various terrains, and offering great fuel economy (18-19 mpg). It's well-maintained, fully stocked with an ICECO fridge, MSR stove, diesel heater, and smart storage for Alaska trips.

5.0Kevin was superb. He went above and beyond what would be expected. From answering many many questions through texts to offering suggestions on how to get the most out of our once in a lifetime trip to even offering to do an early check in to get us on our way. Every step of the way from the initial reservation to the day we returned Hugo he truly cared about us experiencing the best adventure that we could. And then there is Hugo! Hugo is Kevin’s creation and i told Kevin that he had created perfection. For 21 days we lived a simple, efficient, totally sufficient, nimble life . The setup for organizing our gear , clothes and supplies was totally well thought out. We left Alaska with no regrets having done what we set out to do plus more. And the big factor in accomplishing that was Kevin and his caring attitude and the use of Hugo .

5.0Travelling with Hugo and Vincent for our first trip to Alaska was truly amazing! Kevin’s work on the vans make them the perfect vehicles for camping throughout alaska - both vans were perfectly outfitted with everything we could have needed and more, and were reliable even in rainy weather. This trip would not have been as amazing as it was without Hugo and Vincent!

5.0We just spent a week in Alaska with Hugo the camper van, and let me tell you — he’s the kind of travel buddy you dream about. Reliable, comfortable, stocked with everything needed and totally cool with stopping every five minutes because you need “just one more” picture… or thought you spotted a moose that turned out to be a weirdly shaped bush. Hugo gave us complete freedom — no schedules, no reservations, no “we have to be there by…” stress. If we felt like chasing glaciers one day and gold the next, we did. If we wanted to park somewhere random and make grilled cheese while the sun refused to set (Alaska, you’re wild), Hugo was down for it. We road-tripped from Fairbanks all the way down to Homer, hitting Denali, Whittier, Seward, Exit Glacier, Portage Glacier, Anchor Point, Moose Pass, and more. We panned for gold at Gold Dredge 8 in Fairbanks, took a sled ride with the Iditarod dogs at Snowhook in Willow, and “climbed” Mount Marathon in Seward (okay, tried to — I slid back down, bringing home a wrist splint and a collection of bruises as my souvenir). And Kevin? Hands down the best host ever. Helpful before, during, and after — answering questions, giving tips, and making sure everything ran smoothly. He’s basically the fairy godfather of van life… minus the sparkly wand (as far as we know). When we come back to Alaska — because we 100% will — we’ll be booking Hugo again. At this point, he’s not just a camper van… he’s part of the family. The part that never causes drama, always has snacks, and somehow makes even rainy days feel like an adventure.
