Drive with Care – Base Camp is a 2024 Sprinter 144WB, a tall and sturdy van. Take turns wide, brake early, and be mindful of low clearances (no drive-thrus or parking garages!).Speed & Handling – This van handles differently than a regular car. Keep speeds reasonable, especially in high winds or rough terrain. • Fuel Type – Diesel only! Using the wrong fuel can cause serious damage. Fill up with ultra-low sulfur diesel only. • Parking & Clearance – The van is over 9 feet tall, so avoid low overhangs, tree branches, and underground parking. Use backup cameras and mirrors when parking. • Off-Roading – Stick to paved and well-maintained dirt roads. No extreme off-roading, deep sand, or rock crawling—this isn’t a 4x4 rig. • Battery & Power – The EcoFlow power system keeps things running, but be mindful of power usage when off-grid. Recharge with solar or by driving. • Water System – The fresh and gray water tanks are easy to use, but please dump gray water only at proper facilities. • Safety First – Always wear seatbelts, drive sober, and follow all local traffic laws. • Breakdowns or Issues – If something goes wrong, contact us immediately.
