Harvey the RV

Shan was a great host with excellent communication. However, the pictures in the listing do not depict the actual unit. Pictures were taken when the RV was new. Actual condition was subpar for a 2021 unit. Refrigerator door handles broken, floor coming up, waste door latches rusted closed. Once opened, I had to duct tape the door closed. Check engine light came on early in our drive to the Cape. In Shan’s defense he mentioned this might happen. The unit was not commissioned for summer use. Antifreeze in the water system was evident by the pink color of the water. Fortunately, we connected to campground water using my pressure regulator. The drive home was uneventful, but after unpacking and cleaning the rv, the return trip to Shan’s produced sluggish accelerator and failure to shift. I would recommend anyone looking to rent this unit, see it in person first.

We had an amazing trip. It was the first time my family and I rented an RV and traveled. It was more than comfortable, with a great ride and enough room for the four of us. We did not use the kitchen, as we built fires every night during camping and cooked Over open fire. Refrigerator and freezer both worked very well, even when parked for three days, keeping everything at temp and as it should be. Shan was very helpful and walking me through everything on the RV. It actually came in very handy as the main battery had drained, and he equipped me with the knowledge to use the back up battery. There were a few small issues with the RV, nothing to complain about though. My suggestion would be to only shower when hooked up to city water at a campsite, as the water in the holding tank has an odor. It’s OK for cleaning dishes, but I wouldn’t want to shower in it.

Had a great weekend with Harvey. Shan is generous with his time and answered text questions all weekend. RV was "off grid" for 3 days and the generator easily ran the A/C and other power units (could have gone longer) and the propane took care of a cold fridge and freezer and also would have lasted well beyond 3 days. Harvey is easy to drive and well stocked. Would recommend!

This was our first RV trip/experience. Shan was wonderful in explaining the ins and outs of Harvey as well as RVing in general. We highly recommend Shan and Harvey. Looking forward to our next adventure.
