One-of-a-kind, custom camper for one of life's basic needs: no-frills, convenient, comfortable shelter.Designed simply to appreciate the "outdoorsy" life. No generators to mess around with. No water tank to fill and waste to dump. I never understood why one would go camping only to spend most of their time inside a RV watching television. Cook outdoors, eat outdoors, be outdoors. Unless of course you need to escape some weather, then by all means come inside and eat on a cold morning or escape an afternoon thunderstorm playing cards. This is my idea of camping and if this is yours as well then this camper is for you. The idea for this camper came after hiding from the rain for 2 weeks in a tent on a trip to Oregon, Washington, and BC. Using my background as a carpenter's son and as a wood-shop teacher, I designed and built this camper myself in the Spring of 2018. Solid, but lightweight - with 2x2 construction with lap-joints, 3/8 plywood siding, 1.5" foam insulation, and Yew Pine paneling with Redwood trim - this cozy camper will keep you warm on a cold night without artificial heating.Sleeps 3 adults or a family of 4 comfortably, 5 in a squeeze - our family of 5 usually sets up a tent for a little extra space. Day-time set up is two long bench seats with a table in the middle. The table flips up and seats slide down in a quick 2-minute conversion to create a large 7'x5.5' sleeping platform with storage underneath. The cab-over is 7'x4' and is great for storage, napping, or sleeping two kids. Generous 6.5' of head room makes moving around easy. The camper sits on a low-mileage 2003 Ford F150 SuperCrew 2x4 with automatic transmission. Basic construction kept this camper to an estimated 800 lbs - about half that of a typical commercial camper - to make for an easy ride. Total of 6 seats but 2 have lap-belts - I do have an over-the-shoulder harness in the rear middle seat for a young person's extra safety when we travel with 5.This camper has worked well for me and my family. We took it over the Tioga Pass in Yosemite and all over southern Utah. Hopefully it can work for you as well and help me be able to afford more trips with my kids.I work M-Th so pick-up/drop off those days are limited to 7 am and 6 pm.Kindly be aware that the $50 Cleaning Fee, 20% ($20/night) Outdoorsy Fee, extra mileage, and any add-ons will be deducted from the security deposit upon return - with taxes, this could be about a third of the original booking price. Instead of including the fee that Outdoorsy charges owners within the nightly fee, I have chosen to include it separate so the customer knows what they are paying for. Thank you for understanding. Please send me a message before booking with any questions, concerns, or requests.

We heed the variety of California's calls: mountains, deserts, and the beach. Camping to enjoy nature and spend time together is the purpose. Summer we travel further and take the kids - junior rangers - to as many of our nation's great national parks as possible.
