Here is the Atlas. We built this van with renters in mind so that it would be easy to use but still have more features than you usually find in a camper van.
This is a great camper van built out on the new 2019 Sprinter 2WD platform that can gets around 20 MPG with it's V-6 Turbo Diesel engine. It also has many of the safety features you'd expect from Daimler such as blind-spot monitoring and stability control to prevent roll-overs. It is built on the 170 wheelbase platform that gives more room than for the galley and sleeping area without feeling like your driving an over-sized RV.
This build covers what is needed without going over the top. It has storage above the front seats and lots of storage under the main bed. There are also several cabinets throughout the vehicle to store all your cooking and other accessories. There are lots of power ports throughout the vehicle in both USB, USB-C and regular 110 outlets. The van has 2 solar panels and 4 batteries that gives you a lot of extra power to use and, as if that wasn't enough, it does come with shore power too. For the exterior,we decided on a large awning to make eating outside much more comfortable for everyone on the adventure and we installed a side light so you can stay out longer.
For comfort, we got more stuff than you usually find in a camper van. We know that getting inside these vans can sometimes be difficult, so we installed power steps to make it easier and safer. We've got 2 overhead fans so that you can pull air on one and push it out the other one to keep the van cooler in the summer. We also installed a rear water shower and with the built-in 22 gallon water, you'll have enough water to actually take a shower. The built in diesel heater can heat the water and it can even heat up the van during those colder nights. The Atlas has 2 small pop-outs on the side of the van that can give someone even 6 foot 2 enough room to stretch out on the main bed. The second seat even folds down easily into another bed.
The Atlas is a great van setup to help you be more comfortable on your next adventure. Like the Atlas but it isn't quite the right van for your next trip, then check out our other vans like The Adventurer, Sundance Kid or a Nomad.
