When we picked up our RV in McKinney, we were met by one of Lee's employees, Marie, who was really sweet and delightful to work with. She gave us the tour of the RV and we noticed early on that several things were broken in the RV. The bottom of the couch was coming off, a cabinet pull was broken, the bottom of a kitchen drawer was falling out, shower door off the rail and wouldn't close all the way. Marie also told us the TV in the middle of the RV comes on by itself all the time and doesn't work right so if we have a child sleeping in the bunk adjacent, we may want to "throw a towel on it." Most of these things were cosmetic, so although we were disappointed (Lee raved to me on the phone how they owned a RV repair business so their RVs were always kept in tip-top shape so it was a surprise to us to see so many things broken), we decided not to make a big deal of it. The orientation was short (we are first time RV renters) and later we found out there was a lot of critical information regarding the function of the RV we were not told (thankfully the staff at the RV parks we stayed at helped us, otherwise we would have been lost). We picked up the RV Friday and the first thing we realized was that the windshield wiper fluid was completely empty and the wipers did not work properly (they just smeared around the dirt, didn't actually clean it), so we had to stop at Walmart to replace both of those. As we start driving the next day, the whole RV smelled like sewage (we later found out that either the black water was not emptied or properly flushed out because my husband flushed the tanks out when we got there and we did not have that problem again). We were traveling 11 hours with 3 small kids under the age of 5 so we wanted to turn the TV on 6 hours into the trip and put a DVD in. The DVD player was not hooked up correctly so my husband fixed that but even still, the cord was damaged so much that all out DVDs played in black and white. The TV/DVD player in the middle of the RV didn't work at all. When I reached out to Lee about this, he was dismissive and condescending to me saying "it's Ok Lori... it's only a TV" When you are on a long road trip with 3 small kids, a TV is your lifeline to make it through while keeping your sanity in tact. Not to mention when you pay over 2k for the RV for the week, you expect that things are going to work. Lee never apologized for any of the issues we were having. Marie was sweet as I said earlier but truly did not seem to know a lot about RVs, so although she was apologetic, she was not able to help us navigate the issues we were having. It's also important to mention that the TV mount was not secure so we had to put pillows under it otherwise it would swing out and bang against things as we drove. A day into our trip, the mount on the shower broke so we had to hold up the shower head with one hand the whole time we showered. About halfway into our trip we noticed a compartment with wires hanging below the RV. We contacted Marie at this point since Lee would typically just send us to her anyway, and she asked us to just "shove it back up in there"....we later found out it was something to do with the tank heater. It's also important to note the RV (according to the sticker in the window) was way overdue for an oil change. We decided Thursday night we would come home a day early because it just wasn't the most comfortable experience and my husband was starting to get sick. I asked Marie if we could get a refund for our last night since we weren't going to be using it and initially Lee told her we would only get a partial refund. I found this so surprising considering the many issues we had and we were not even asking for money back from the nights we used the RV or reimbursement for the things we had to fix (the wiper fluid and wipers) but simply the money back from the night we did not use. After some discussion, Lee finally did agree to refund us for the one night we did not use it, but still no apology from him ever for any of the issues we had with it.The few positives from our experience:
--In the beginning (before we actually picked up the RV), Lee was very good about answering my questions (and I had a lot!) and even took about 30 minutes to talk on the phone with me, giving tips road tripping with an RV. Before we picked up the RV, he answered questions within a few hours of sending a message and was very responsive.
--His employee that we dealt with the most, Marie, was very kind and communicative. She was very apologetic for all the issues we experienced and was delightful to communicate with.
In conclusion, we would not make the decision to rent from Lee again. I think an apology, humility and willingness to acknowledge the issues we were having would have gone a long way. Unfortunately though, he was dismissive, condescending and made us feel like we were putting him out by contacting him with the issues we were having.

It was a pleasure renting from Lee and his team! From the moment I booked the RV I was able to get in touch with them with all my questions; as a first time renter there were more than a few, to which I received great customer service. The vehicle itself drove great and was comfortable in which to stay. We were walked through all the important workings of the unit so we felt comfortable operating it. Would definitely recommend renting from Lee and look forward to doing so again. Thanks!

The Thor Chateau was a perfect motorhome for our first time driving one! It had great features and everything we needed. Lee and his business partners are wonderful to work with and make sure you are comfortable with everything before you head out! They are also very responsive if you have any questions during your adventure!

Lee was quick to communicate and very good to work with. The Camper is in excellent shape and is a very easy pull. I have already recommended them to several of my friends. Yes I would do business with again.
